Braces ruined my jawline reddit It's going hurt and it would be uncomfortable in the first few months, but don't worry because aside from getting a healthier set of teeth and gums, the change/s in your facial features would mostly be positive. The me before and the me after were completely different people. Prior to the surgery I loved my face/facial structure and my appearance I just wanted a nice bite that connects due to the inconvenience of having an open bite. I have turbos and they force my jaw forward into a better position. I am really not happy with my facial profile it looks flat and manly. I have a pretty good jawline. Overbites give patients the appearance of an undefined lower jaw and weak chin, while underbites may make the lower jaw more prominent and can make the cheeks appear sunken in. I am 14 years old and have a good sharp jawline, however, my teeth are crooked and I want to get braces. There are other no surgical ways ,you could try doing treatment again and try expand the arch. I found out later in this group, that I hard mewed which can cause the overbite/deep bite. Someone told me braces will retract my front teeth backward, reducing the tongue space, and causing sleep apnea.
